Court Records and Fines

Court Records

To check the status of court cases or records, access the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access program. This website provides access to certain public records of the circuit courts of Wisconsin. The information displayed is an exact copy of the case information entered into the Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP) case management system by court staff in the counties where case files are located. The court record summaries viewed on this website are all public records under Wisconsin open records law. You may also review the court’s case file at the Clerk of Court’s Office.

To request a court record from Dane County Clerk of Courts, email dane.courtrecords@wicourts.gov. Be specific with the court case number and what document you are requesting. You will be charged a fee for copies of records. Click here for a directory of all Wisconsin Clerk of Courts.
